Snickerdoodle Bars
From Courtney Johnson
Bars
- 2 1/3 cups flour
- 1 ¼ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ cup butter softened
- 1 ¼ sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
Cinnamon Filling
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
Glaze
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 to 2 tbsp milk
- ¼ tsp vanilla
Heat oven to 350 and spray a 13×9 pan with cooking spray. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. In large bowl beat butter with a mixer on high till smooth, beat in sugars. Slowly add eggs and vanilla until well combined. Switch mixer to low and add dry ingredients until combined. The batter will be very thick. Spread half of the batter into pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mix. Dollop the remaining batter evenly over cinnamon-sugar mix. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Cool completely (about an hour). In small bowl stir glaze ingredients until smooth and thin enough to drizzle. Drizzle over bars. Allow glaze to set up and cut to serve.
I am going to ramble about this at some of these fun parties.
